Google Pixel and Pixel XL see huge discounts at Verizon this Black Friday

If you don’t mind being locked into a two-year payment plan, Verizon has a really, really good deal on the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.

From this Thursday, November 24 through Friday, November 25, Verizon is selling the 32GB Google Pixel and Pixel XL for an incredibly low $10 per month, while the 128GB Pixel and Pixel XL are going for just $15 per month. That means, essentially, both 32GB models will cost you only $240 in all, and the 128GB versions will cost only $360. As you may recall, the 32GB Pixel and Pixel XL normally start at a hefty $649 and $769, respectively, making this one of the best Pixel deals we’ve seen thus far.

This is one of the best Pixel deals we've seen thus far

Before we get too excited, there’s a hefty dose of fine print we should talk about first.

To get the deal, you’ll need to purchase your Pixel or Pixel XL on a standard device payment plan. After roughly 2-3 months, Verizon will start applying monthly bill credits to your account to make up for the discount. So, if you were to buy the 32GB Pixel on a payment plan, for instance, you’d get a total of $409 ($649 full retail price – $240) spread out over 24 months. In order to get the full discount, that line will need to be active for the full 24 months.

So no, you’re not getting these phones for $10 or $15 per month the simple way. But if you can get past the few caveats listed above, you’ll end up saving yourself quite a bit of money in the long run.

Don’t miss: Black Friday 2016: best tech deals

This deal will be available both online and in-store, so you can even buy your new Google phone from the comfort of your home.

If the Pixel phones aren’t for you, Verizon is also letting new customers take $200 off any Android smartphone priced $400 or higher when they switch to Verizon or add a line from November 24-27. Alternatively, current customers can save $100 on any Android phone priced $400 or higher. In both cases, you’ll need to activate your new phone on a payment plan to get the discount.

Oh, and one other thing – Verizon, just like many other retailers, is selling the Google Home for just $99, which is a steal.

Snag Google Home for $99 during Best Buy’s Black Friday event

Google Home was officially released just two short weeks ago, and already we are seeing discounts to go along with America’s annual post-turkey shopping spree.

In a recent “Black Friday Preview” put out by Best Buy, it is shown that Google’s new Glade-shaped assistant will be sold at a rate of just $99 a pop, $30 cheaper than its regular retail price of $129. That’s a mighty fine deal, especially for a product that made it’s debut just 14 days ago.

Google Home also comes with a free 6 month trial of YouTube Red and YouTube Music, so for those that were thinking about subscribing to one of these services, the Home essentially pays for itself. That deal is bundled with the Home hardware and is not locked to a specific retailer, so if you decide to pick it up from the likes of Wal-Mart, Target, or somewhere else, the trial still applies.

Best Buy’s Black Friday sale runs from Thursday November 24th through Saturday November 26th, so let us know if you’re able to get your hands on one during that time.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for Lenovo/Motorola [UK]

It’s that time of the year: Black Friday and of course, Cyber Monday that follows suit. And these days, this super sale period isn’t limited to the US – it’s worldwide. So here are some official deals from Lenovo for those living in the UK:

Moto Z and Moto Z Play

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for Lenovo/Motorola [UK]

Of course, we have to start with Lenovo’s modular superstars: the Moto Z and its cousin, Moto Z Play. The two will be available in black or white and Lenovo is bundling them with some nice modular freebies and free shipping. As for the Moto Z, it will cost £499.00, but the device comes with a free Incipio offGRID Power Bank Mod, which would normally set you back £59.99.

As for the Moto Z, it will cost £499.00, but the device comes with a free Incipio offGRID Power Bank Mod, which would normally set you back £59.99.

The Moto Z Play will cost £369.98 and comes with a free JBL Soundboost Speaker Mod, which normally retails for £69.98. The Moto Z is definitely the more powerful of the two, with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and a low-light camera. It’s 5.2mm thin but its laser thin body comes with some sacrifices: no 3.5mm headphone jack and disappointing battery life. The Moto Z Play features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and while it doesn’t have the blazing fast Snapdragon 820 processor, it does maintain the good old 3.5mm headphone jack.

Moto G4 family

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for Lenovo/Motorola [UK]

If you’re looking for something a bit more mid-range, the G4 family might be a better fit for you. The Moto G4 and G4 Plus both feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a decent design. The main difference between the two are the RAM and camera. The Plus gives you an option to get 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage and has a 16-megapixel camera instead of the 13-megaixel shooter found on the regular G4. The regular G4 will be available for £159.00 with free a premium back cover and the Plus will be available for £209.00 with free premium back cover.

The G4 Play is the least powerful of the G4 family, featuring a 5-inch 720p display and an underwhelming camera. But if you’re looking for a decent smartphone for internet browsing and casual photos, then this may be the phone for you. Lenovo is slashing £10 off the original price tag down to £119.98 this holiday season (tbh, I think they could’ve done better than £10). Of course, they all come with free shipping.

But if you’re looking for a decent smartphone for internet browsing and casual photos, then this may be the phone for you.

Moto X family

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for Lenovo/Motorola [UK]

Next up is the ultra-durable Moto X Force: although it is now almost a year old, it has a nice 5.4-inch Quad HD display that is shatterproof as well as Snapdragon 810 and a 21-megapixel camera. Lenovo is giving a £50 discount on it this month, so for £429, you can grab yourself a shatterproof device with a free back cover.

Although it is now almost a year old, it has a nice 5.4-inch Quad HD display that is shatterproof as well as Snapdragon 810 and a 21-megapixel camera.

The Moto X Style is slightly bigger, measuring at 5.7 inches. It’s not shatterproof, however. It has the same 21-megapixel camera, and can be yours for just £309. Again, it comes with a premium back cover.

The smartwatch

Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for Lenovo/Motorola [UK]

What would Black Friday be without Lenovo’s circular smartwatch? If you were looking to get a well-designed Android Wear smartwatch this holiday season, the Moto 360 is now £218.99 with free shipping. And yes, this is the 2nd generation Moto 360 we are talking about.

Amazon introduces early Black Friday Alexa-exclusive deals

Amazon has provided a number of ways to help consumers spend cash this holiday season. From early Black Friday sales, to buyers guides, to deals available exclusively through its digital assistant Alexa; the latter of which, you can take advantage of this weekend.

Until November 21, Amazon is holding a sale for its Prime members which can only be purchased via Alexa. Just ask “Alexa, what are your deals?” to one of Amazon’s speakers like the Echo, Echo Dot and Amazon Tap – or to a Fire TV or Fire HD Tablet – to receive a list of potential items for purchase (you can also view all of the deals online here).

When you’ve found what you want, just say “Alexa, order [product name]” to place your order. The items on offer are set to change throughout the coming days, but as of the time of writing you can cash-in on deals like:

  • $80 off a 32-inch Samsung 1080p LED TV: say, “Alexa, order a Samsung TV”
  • $30 off a Sphero Star Wars BB-8 App controlled robot: say, “Alexa, order a Star Wars robot”

Amazon kicks off its massive Black Friday sale with list of the best deals on offer

As you’ve probably heard, Amazon is doing Black Friday a little differently this year. Rather than just offering deals on November 25 and the Monday following, Amazon has 35 days of deals available, starting today and ending on December 22.

There’s a massive list of the best deals available here, but do note that they aren’t all live now. There will be a steady stream of new deals going live as often as every five minutes, so be prepared to have a permanent Amazon tab open in your browser or download the Amazon shopping app from Google Play.

Amazon does note that “many of the best Black Friday deals on Amazon heat up during the ‘Turkey 5’ – those five popular days of online shopping starting on Thanksgiving Day and continuing through Cyber Monday”. So if you want to avoid completely destroying your bank balance, you may want to restrict your impulse shopping to that time period.

Some of the nicest deals on offer include big savings on various Kindles and Fire tablets, $40 off the Amazon Echo and more Amazon gear reductions. If you’re in the market for a new TV there’s plenty on offer from the likes of Samsung, Sony and LG. There’s also a bunch of discounts on toys, tools, kitchen appliances, pet products, video games, sports equipment and of course: books.

Stay tuned for our mammoth roundup of all the best Black Friday deals from around the internet.
